Each year 欧美AV presents a selection of nominated individuals with honours and awards to recognise their outstanding service and dedication to advancing women鈥檚 health. Nominations are considered by the College Honours Committee and awarded by the 欧美AV Board.

President's Medal
Associate Professor Marilyn Clarke
Fellow
Associate Professor Marilyn Clarke has been awarded the 欧美AV President鈥檚 Medal in recognition of her extraordinary contribution to the work of the College. Associate Professor Clarke’s distinguished career and unwavering commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women鈥檚 health have had a profound and lasting impact.
Through her leadership 鈥 including as Chair of the First Nations Women鈥檚 Health Committee 鈥 she has advanced equitable, culturally safe care, strengthened the Indigenous health workforce, and driven meaningful change across clinical practice, education, and research.
Professor David Ellwood

Professor David Ellwood has been awarded the 欧美AV President鈥檚 Medal in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the work of the College and dedication to his exceptional and long-standing career in maternal fetal medicine.
The College recognises Professor Ellwood’s commitment to policy, research, and teaching, and his devotion to improving outcomes for women and babies everywhere.

Associate Professor Miranda Davies-Tuck has been awarded the 欧美AV Honorary Fellowship in recognition of her exceptional contribution to women鈥檚 health.

Dr Marilla Druitt has been awarded the 欧美AV Distinguished Service Medal in recognition of the extraordinary contribution she has made to the work of the College over many years, and to her dedication to enhancing outcomes for women鈥檚 health.
Dr Druitt鈥檚 leadership, advocacy, research, and teaching in pelvic pain have directly contributed to improving the lives of many women.

Dr Mizia’s dedication to teaching and work in the subspecialty of ultrasound has directly improved health outcomes for women and their babies.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women鈥檚 Health Award
Molly Wardaguga Institute
The Molly Wardaguga Institute has been awarded the 欧美AV Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Health Award in recognition of their leadership, research excellence, and transformative impact on maternal and infant health in the community.
The collective dedication to improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander mothers and babies through culturally grounded, community-led, and evidence based care is a standout.
The achievements of the institute represent some of the most significant advancements in First Nations maternal health nationally and set a benchmark for what culturally safe, community-driven health reform can look like.
M膩ori Women's Health Award
Matua Luke Crawford
Kaum膩tua Luke Mikaere Crawford was posthumously honoured with the 欧美AV M膩ori Women鈥檚 Health Award in recognition of his enduring contribution to M膩ori women鈥檚 health, hauora wh膩nau, and cultural safety.
As Kaum膩tua of 欧美AV for over eight years, Matua Luke provided compassionate and steadfast guidance, ensuring 欧美AV鈥檚 work increasingly reflected equitable, te Tiriti-based practice grounded in respect for M膩ori knowledge systems. Renowned for his manaakitanga, humility, and cultural wisdom, Matua Luke created spaces where M膩ori could stand confidently in their identity and where others could learn with respect.
Beyond the College, Matua Luke dedicated his life to advancing M膩ori wellbeing, identity, and cultural pride across Aotearoa. His contributions to M膩ori leadership and community service were widely recognised across the health, education, sport, and community sectors.
His legacy lives on in the cultural foundations he embedded, the people he uplifted, and the pathways he strengthened for future generations.

Dr Ming Xue Fan has been awarded the 欧美AV Wellbeing Award in recognition of her significant contribution to promoting and fostering wellbeing practices in the workplace. Dr Fan’s consistent dedication to her colleagues and the overall positive impact she has made during her training within our specialty are truly deserving of the 欧美AV Wellbeing Award.
